“She” (2018) by Pfishova is an intimate yet monumental study of identity, framed within the boundaries of radical minimalism. The composition relies on a striking contrast between deep black and a light, nuanced background whose raw, coarse texture evokes industrial concrete or time-weathered plaster. The centre of the canvas is dominated by a rounded, organic shape of black, into which the artist has embedded small, almost imperceptible fragments of plastic.
